Strong, Commited, Proven
The America’s One-Stop Operating System is backed by the strength of the AOSOS Consortium, which is committed to meeting the ongoing needs of it’s members for effective and cost-efficient workforce development information systems. The Consortium provides the vision and leadership that drives ongoing AOSOS development.
The AOSOS Consortium is a self-governing, self-sufficient body comprised of member state and local workforce professionals working through the America’s OSOS Service Center. The Consortium funds the ongoing development, maintenance and support of AOSOS.
The Consortium commitment means you plug into a program of regular and timely product upgrades. The Consortium evaluates and interprets new federal mandates so you can be confident of your stat’s compliance with federal reporting guidance. The Consortium also prioritizes new features and functional enhancements to address evolving workforce development needs within its continuous improvement program.
The AOSOS Consortium provides new members access to a substantial body of knowledge, experience and technical expertise. The benefits of membership include the ability to draw upon collective knowledge to support each state’s specific needs. All members benefit from a shared commitment to mutual success while empowering states with the freedom to customize their own implementation.
This long term commitment assures your state that AOSOS is stable, proven and ready to meet your One-Stop needs – right now- and will continue to meet your needs for years to come.
AOSOS Consortium Purpose
Since July 2004, the AOSOS Consortium has been a self-governing, self-sufficient partnership of employment security agencies that has enhanced the system and ensured its continued compliance with all federal regulations and state workforce business needs. The consortium enables members to share knowledge, insights, and resources facilitating the implementation of flexible systems that meet common core business and unique state-specific needs of their workforce development systems. The tried and proven AOSOS technology has been successfully supporting state workforce development systems since January 2001.
The system supports both customer self-service and mediated case management services designed around the principles of universality, customer choice, service integration, and performance-driven outcomes. AOSOS includes features designed to support the business functions associated with implementation of the Workforce Investment Act such as customer tracking, identification of eligible training and service providers and maintenance of performance information on those providers. AOSOS produces federally mandated reports associated with United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA) administered programs required for One-Stop Career Centers and has an open design that enables it to easily interface and exchange data with a broad range of state and federal systems.
